Outgoing animal loving receptionist needed for quality veterinary hospital in Mission Viejo. Experience in a veterinary or medical environment required for this full time position. Applicants must live within 15-mile radius and be available every other Saturday. This person represents the “first impression” of the hospital.

The reception role is responsible for the following:

  • Answering phones and providing the customer service required by current and potential clients.

  • Setting up and doing telephone confirmation of appointments.

  • Check in and check out of the patients we care for.

  • Keeping client computer records up to date.

  • Providing education on our treatments and care and explaining client charges.

  • Completing payment transactions.

  • Opening and closing the hospital and insuring security system is activated.

  • Executing some of the hospital marketing vehicles such as new client welcome letters, birthday postcards, and special offers.

NOW HIRING – VETERINARY TECHNICIAN
Experienced veterinary technician wanted for 30+ hr position for our small animal hospital. The ideal candidate will preferably be an RVT, proficient at placing catheters, drawing blood, performing dentals, dental and digital radiographs, and animal restraint. This role requires someone with a professional demeanor, excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.

Our environment needs someone with the ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with co-workers. Our hospital is a state of the art full service facility and we need a team member who can embrace our philosophy of providing the highest quality of care for our clients. Our clients have animals with all types of health issues and we take effort to never lose sight of the special human-animal bond. Management experience with interest in developing into a Hospital Manager over time would be a plus and present future opportunities but not a requirement.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Personalized patient care

  • Physical examinations

  • Obtain and record patient case histories

  • Knowledge of and administration of medications and injections

  • Surgical prep,

  • Expose and develop radiographs

  • Lab sample collection and in-house lab testing

  • Prepare animals, instruments and equipment for surgery

  • Assist in diagnostic, medical and surgical procedures

  • Monitoring of anesthesia

  • Client education

Work to insure high standards of protocol for a clean, safe clinical setting
